Hey, at least in your day (lol) you could understand most of the words to
the songs...

I appreciate a lot of different types of music, but honestly, some of it
just sounds like industrial noise to me anymore...(he says, typing to music
from the "Best of the Doobies/1976" album on his MP3 player... "Whoa oh,
China Grove!"...lol)

I'm about the same age as Carey I think, and in our day our folks sure would
not agree that you could understand the words.  But... that's just because
they were old and part of the establishment...

You are correct, sir, at least about the fact that "back in the day" what is
now called Classic Rock was the evil, unintelligible kids music of its day.
I remember very clearly the older folks of the generation ahead of mine
griping about the state of music and how we were all going to hell because
we listened to it.

Oh, and I am 47.  Is that close?
