You said, (turn Technicolor drama on):  "Gordon has finally firmed up a
spot in the Bud Shootout!!!"

Here's a clue, Bill:  As a past winner of the Bud Shootout, Gordon
would be in it whether or not he won a pole in 2006.

Maybe he has been getting his information from Dilner. . . . .

I'm just thankful Kevin Harvick swept Bristol back in August to
guarantee him a spot in the All*Star race.

You're funny. ;-)

Still, DePain last night is still standing firm in backing up Dillner.
I think he had it right.

Hey, looks aren't everything.

We were on the road, racing in Lufkin this weekend.  The whole story was
good for some laughs during the drive.  Pure fantasy.  Dilner just reported
what he was told.  I'm not so sure DeSpain (although I am a fan of his) has
much mechanical knowledge, either.

Don't be too sure in yore statement of past winners.
That may or may not be The Rule. (10 year rule?)
Can anyone definitively quote the rules for the '07
Bud Shootout?
I thot i could for the last 3 years, but Jayski & NA$CAr
seem to change their minds. (Or maybe i'm getting confused
with The All Star Race at C***te?)

I have learned not to state any recent rules stated by
NA$CAr as future rules.

As far as I know, since it's a non-points race Bud gets to make
up the rules however they like.  That being the case, you can
pretty much take it as a guarantee that if they need to change
them to get Gordon in, they will.

it's always been pole winners from the previous season, and past
shootout winners.

past winners are automatically eligible but must have run race/s
the previous year
