If nobody at all is  1 lap down;  does the first 2 lap down driver go to 1
lap back when the rule gets invoked?

The lucky dog rule blows ass. They should get rid of that dumb
WWE-wrasslin-style rule.

The highest scored lapped car gets one lap back...
So yes.. if the first lapped car is 2 laps down, he gets one lap back...

Sorry, that is incorrect.  There have been times when a single car is
mulitple laps down at the start of the race, when everyone else is on the
lead lap. They are not given any laps back when the caution flies.

Luck dog is for cars 1 lap down only.

I'm sorry Russ, but you are incorrect....

If a car is 5 laps down, when the yellow comes out, he is
allowed to get ONE of his laps back.....
(last 10 laps... no lucky dog)...
