I wonder if Jeffy cursed satan for his poor finish today.

I dont know.  He was able to keep limping around the track.  Several other
cars dropped out after him and he was able to make up enough positions to
squeek out a measly 1 point lead in the points race.  I think God was with
him as usual.  He has a lot of work to do, but it could have turned out
much worse.

Here's to an exciting tight points race to the finale.

Was there and listening to scanner conversation.  The actual cursing was
not so much over the engine problem as it was with the driver of the 78
car for supposedly assisting Jeff with his encounter with the wall.  The
conversations which followed were something I'm sure Jeff and Brook's
preacher would not have enjoyed ;-)

Was Ray Evernham overheard saying "Me and the spotter for the 78
car are going to meet after the race." or "I prayed that God would help
guide the spotter for the 78 car in all future races, and I thanked God
that in this simple accident, no one was seriously hurt, and I have come
to graciously accept from God, all of our winnings, along with all of
our losses."

I don't believe I've ever seen a car that was spitting that
much water, still be able to finish the race.  Amazing.  'Course,
I also kept wondering when NASCAR was gonna black flag the #24 for
spraying out all that water on the windshields of the cars behind him.

                           Amazing.  ;-)

Hey Sam,

How's about elaborating on those "conversations".  I would love to
hear the scanner bites on that one.

Actually, I think that God is a real race fan.  The best example I have is
Memorial day.  First the Indianpolis 500 goes and finishes at it regular
time.  Next, the U.S. 500 is scheduled to start about 1 hour before the end
of the Indy 500, but they wreck coming the the green flag and the race is
delayed one hour, starting just about at the end of the Indy 500.  Next, the
Coca-Cola 600 is slated to start at about 5:15 (I think), while the U.S. 500
is finishing up.  What happens, there is a rain delay at C***te that goes
until just after the U.S. 500 finishes.  Coincidence(sp?)??!?!?!?!?!?!?
