"I served under John McCain, Naval Attack Squadron VA 174 at Cecil
Field, he was the XO at the time. I also met Randy "Duke" Cunningham a
real hero. While military service says much about leadership and
citizenship, it does not always translate into good decision making,
case in point both Cunningham and John McCain. Cunningham was
convicted of crimes while in office and went to jail and McCain's
recent proposal and support for bringing in more HB1 workers to take
the place of our citizens and for amnesty for foreign nationals that
have deliberately broken our immigration laws is a slap in the face to
our unemployed citizens, the value of citizenship itself and is close
to treason."

I agree with you right up to the last phrase.

The definition of treason which is given in the Constitution, is clear
and unambiguous. McCain's suggestion is nowhere close to meeting that
definition.

There is a higher treason which consists of acts detrimental to the
core of
the Nation.

Not according to our Constitution.

I agree with the original post.
The USA is engaged in a war, an insidious war in which the USA is
being invaded in mass through illegal and unjust legal immigration.
Those individuals and groups who support this massive invasion and war
against the USA, the US Constitution, and the political and economic
rights of American citizens ARE traitors.
The invidious, criminal, and insidious nature of this war does not
change it's essential character nor it's aggressive aims but, instead,
reveal it's unscrupulous, base, and destructive means and ends.
McCain and many others in high political office are, given the
aforementioned, supporting this war against the USA, the US
Constitution, and the economic and political rights of American
citizens. He, is therefore, a traitor.
I am happy to state, however, that from my personal experience, US
Military veterans are among the most ardent opponents of both illegal
and unjust legal immigration.
