>To: All Dale Earnhardt bashers
Eventhough you are not addressing it to me, I thought I could
chip in a few comments here.
>I don't understand why so many of you DE bashers think that he put BH into
>the wall intentionally.
In a lot of crashes involving more than one driver, all the drivers
involved have equal chance for getting their cars damaged. However,
in incidents like the above mentioned one, the driver who is driving
from behind has more control than the one in the front. When a driver
A touches a driver B from behind, B has lesser control than A and
in this case B has more chance of getting severely damaged than A.
In this incident, DE had more control. He could have been less aggressive
if he choosed to. However, he chose to take a chance and drove
aggressively to make the pass and take the lead. It is this choice
that made lot of people get pissed of at him. I like his aggressive
style of driving but, I felt that he crossed the limit in this
particular case. Whether he intentionally punted BHamilton into the
wall of out of the way, I honestly don't know. I have seen a lot
posts mentioning that DE wrecked BH intentionally out of the way,
but none of them had any proper rationale or reason to prove it.
It is simple, How can one read another's mind and intentions ?
Yes, I am a die hard Dale Earnhardt fan. IMHO, DE sometimes crosses
the boundary line of being overly aggressive, and this incident is
one such instance.
>Why do you think that DE's won seven WC

That is the reason why he is my favourite driver and he is partly
the reason why I got interested in NASCAR racing.
>Do any of you seriously believe

I have no reason to believe that NASCAR does or does not show
favouratism to Earnhardt. May be they do, may be thaey don't.
If someone ( like Danno for example ) believes that NASCAR shows
double standards towards Earnhardt, he probably has a good reason
in saying so. So, if you think that it is ridiculous to believe
so, then prove that he/she is wrong. So far, I haven't seen a
single post that clearly proves that NASCAR shows double standards
to DE. However, I haven't seen a clear proof from anyone that
NASCAR doesn't show double standards to DE either. So, my point is that
neither claims are ridiculous as long as you can't disprove them.
>Go #28 and #3!
>PS - By the way, I'm not putting down BH in any way. He's a great driver
>in his own right.
Well, finally NASCAR hasn't done anything so far to kill my
appetite for racing. I don't blame DE when his aggression causes
trouble to others and I don't blame others when their aggression
causes the same to him either. By this, I don't mean to say that
you must feel the same way as I do.
