Firstly, the cars don't go 200mph anymore. Secondly, one shouldn't want
to see a driver "hit the wall" at any speed. Lastly, Junior is***y?
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Actually, he seems pretty down-to-earth to me. But
whatever you want to believe, dude.

That it total bullshit!!! You need to watch more races! When the lap average
is 197-198 MPH, THEY ARE DOING 200 MPH.

 Secondly, one shouldn't want

I didn't say I wanted him too, I said 'when he does' because he will. Mark
my words.

Lastly, Junior is***y?

Where, exactly, is the lap average 197-198 mph?

WOO-HOO!! and also yay - there's a race that has average lap speeds of
197-198...??   hell YEAH... I'm there... where?   when?   don't wanna
miss that one... or is that the WOO at Bristol?  :o)

~actually, I think it was California(?) - one Rusty's telemetry shots
showed him hit 201mph - for like, 3 tenths of half a second - still,
it was a special moment... <sniff>

No, I think you need to watch more races. (we are talking NASCAR Winston
Cup, right??) Here's some *real* lap averages for ya, taken from this
season:

The Winston (LMS) = 167.035
Napa Auto Parts 500 (Cali) = 149.378
DieHard 500 (Talladega) = 161.157
Food City 500 (Bristol) = 88.018

200 mph? Yeah, right.

Consider them marked. And BTW, can you give me a suggestion on what this
weekend's Lotto numbers will be?

At what tracks are the lap averages 197-198 MPH?

Well, Em, those numbers must include caution laps, right? I would think
the averages at Talladega must be around 190 on green flag runs.
In any case, I would think they've gotta be hitting 200 going into turn
1 at Atlanta and possibly elsewhere.

You're probably right, Doug, but Mr. Dragon said lap *average*, so
that's what I was quoting.

Sorry, I'll just be quiet now. I'm starting to sound like a total ***!

Em: U are not sounding like a *** while expressing your opinion. For sure
they run above 200mph at times. The only error in your thinking may be
getting too emotionally high over Junior's recently-found success. Take it
from a 'former too high' Jeff Gordon fan that what goes up, will go down.
But #24 will not stay down. <G>

There may be one or two tracks where they just barely hit 200mph.
