Well, again you can't compare strenght in qualifying rounds. They
probably would have better records in groups on the Conmebol model.
Last time France played Brasil they beated it 3-0, so saying the
chances were still 100% is biased.

Maybe you forget that in the last qualifying Italy and England were
put in the same group.
UEFA seeds the group, but there is always a big team not seeded, not
considering good teams like Portugal or Romania.
Brasil could be included in a group of 5 with England, Portugal,
Slovenia, Malta. Still good chances of qualifying, but 100%...

Not much since the introduction of 3 points.
While, for instance, playing the cups many teams play more
defensively.
Take as an example Inter that won 3 UEFA Cups in 8 years with defense
and counter attacks.

Maybe, I don't have the stats handy.
Though comparing different leagues must also consider the differences
in the strenght of the teams.
A levelled league, strong or weak, will have more draws than a league
with its best teams much stronger that the weahest ones.
