Notes: With a streak being unbeaten in their last 16 league games, Milan
finds itself on top of the table after their win at Roma and Napoli's
loss at the hands of Inter. Napoli found itself one goal ahead early
in the match with a goal by Careca. Both teams had some good
opportunities in the first half, but Inter seemed to be very
determined in getting the equalizer. In the second half it was mostly
Inter pressing. Their equalizer came at the second minute of the second
half as Ferrara, who was marking Klinsmann, intercepted a cross
intented for Klinsmann and put the ball into his own net. At this
point, the wheels fell off for Napoli, who was unable to contain
Inter's attack. After Inter's third goal, Napoli's fouling of Inter
players got harsher and referee Agnolin cautioned about 6-7 players.
Napoli's attack lacked some spark without Maradona. For Milan, life
        begins at forty...

Vialli was back on the field for Samp after not having played since
December 30. He celebrated his return to action by scoring a goal
with an assist by Mancini, who also assisted on Lombardo's goal.
With this loss, Fiorentina approaches the ranks of the teams
fighting against relegation. In this game, Baggio came off at the
30th minute of the first half because of a possible injury.
Again, Mancini was a main "protagonista" for Samp's attack.

Roma was bombarded from all sides by Milan. The few opportunities
to score by Roma were not taken advantage of. The 4th Milan goal
may be credited to Massaro since the touch by Roma defender Berthold
may have been after the ball had gone into the net. This win is the
16 consecutive undefeated game for Milan of which 14 are wins and 2
        are tie games.

Udinese, without their main scorer DeVitis, managed to beat Cesena,
getting a precious two points, while the other teams at the bottom
of the table just managed to tie.

Since there are a few Juve fans on the net, here's some news which
you may find interesting: I heard some speculation
that although Maifredi is the most probable successor to Zoff,
other names such as Beckenbauer or Cruyff have been mentioned. Also,
of the three foreigners currently on the team, Aleinikov is the
most likely to remain. Bayer Munich's Reuter (sp?) is likely to join
Juventus next season. 7 of Juventus' current players have been signed
for next season. They include: Tacconi, Marocchi, Casiraghi, and
        Schillaci.

Leading Scorers ("CAPO CANNONIERI") after 26 games:

(Franco, I think Van Basten may have read your article... ;-)
