Olympique Marseille won the European Championship Cup this evening.
Milan had many good opportunities to score but it was a bit unlucky
and tired esp. during the 2nd half. Olympique scored just before
the end of 1st half and then defended easily.

I think that Marseille deserved to win this CUP, two years ago or more, they
lost the semi final to porto( I think) which was a hand goal, last year, they
lost to red star of belgrad in final, and now they make it, I think french teams
are waking up, I just hope that the national french team will do well too in
the USA world CUP. btw there is a match between USA and germany next june (
I think ).

It was Benfica. After a 2-1 win in Stade Velodrome, Eric Vata punched the
ball into the Marseille goal for the 1-0 win which eliminated Marseille on
away-goals. :-(

Actually it was:
.3 years ago: Marseille won the 1st leg of its semi-final against Benfica (2-1) and it lost the 2nd leg (in Portugal) 1-0. It was a hand-goal
(hand of devil, this time) by Vata.

.2 years ago: They defeated Milan AC in 1/4-final and lost against Belgrad in final.

.last year: They lost in 2nd round of the tournament against Prague. It was 3-2 in Marseille(2 penalty kicks for Prague) and they lost in Prague.

.this year: you now the story. :-) :-)
