AC MILAN WIN ITALY AND BIG VIALLI RUMOURS

Post by u1051.. » Thu, 14 May 1992 07:51:22

Just a brief note to congratulate all the milanisti out
there. Auguri a tutti, specialmenate a Marco Petroni per
il suo servizio (A thanks to Marco Petroni for his service
to the newsgroup). Although I am a diehard Juventino, I
wouldn't mind seeing AC Milan take out the Scudetto undefeated.

Hopefully, Juventus will take out the Coppa Italia and then
the Juventini and the Milanisti can do the European double
next season. I really pity any team that qualified for Europe
this season. OOOOHHHHH BOY are they in trouble :)

As for transfer news, the rumours have already started with
the Campionato already settled.

As for the Vialli to Juventus rumour (oh please let it be true),
it has been said that it will take place with Sampdoria making
a heap from the deal (My source being the one of the local
Italian newspapers). In exchange for Vialli, Sampdoria gets
(1) a promising 20 year old junior player whose name I forgot
(2) Corini (*sigh* I hope they don't. He is a very handy player)
(3) Julio Cesar (If they get Minotti from Parma, that should cover
    that gap)
(4) 10 billion lira ($10 million Australian) cash
Vialli himself will get about $5 million a year.

Could any source closer to Italy confirm or deny ???

Hopefully, both teams will put on a good show. I'm itching to
see Milan play in the Champions' Cup next season, Juve play
in the Cup Winners' Cup (provided that Parma doesn't
spoil it for them tomorrow), and Napoli and Roma in the UEFA
Cup...

I've heard the same rumours here, and from what I've heard from Italy,
it would seem that they are true, although no one will say anything
officially until the Champions' Cup final is played. The apparent reason
behind this is to avoid destroying Samp's team spirit before the game,
so it seems that all will be announced either just after the final
or soon after in the following days. We'll all have to wait until the
20th, then. In the mean time, I hope that Samp will pull it off against
Barca, then we can have two Italian teams in the Champions' Cup in the
fall...

Forza Doria!

Marco...

It seems that the promising 20 year old player that Juve have under
contract is a Ancona player(Marco something???) who has scored 9 or
so goals.

I'll be watching it LIVE,thats for sure. Kick off is at 4.15AM on SBS TV
for all Australian viewers. (Bit of a bummer about Torino after a great
match with Ajax, especially that shot that hit the bar in the last few
seconds of the match).

*cantando* Forza, Forza, FORZA DORIA!!!!

p.s If Vialli does go to Juventus it gives me another valid reason to go to
Italia again (religious purposes all'Stadio dell'Alpi and so Gianluca
and I can celebrate our birthday together. Needless to say we will
invite Roberto and the rest of the boys :)
