Souness in Friedel warning

Graeme Souness has issued a hands-off message to any club interested
in luring goalkeeper Brad Friedel away from Blackburn.

Manchester United have been linked with the American because Old
Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson is expected to offload his current
number one, Fabien Barthez, during the summer.

Friedel, 31, has been a major part of the Ewood Park club's push for a
Uefa Cup spot this season and was voted into this season's PFA team of
the year.

"Brad must be worth 12 to 15 points a season to us because he is such
a good goalkeeper," said Souness.

"I've been saying for a long time he is the best in the country and
now he has been honoured by his fellow professionals.

"I just couldn't put a price on his head. If other clubs are
interested in him, they have to realise what Brad is worth to us over
the next four years of his contract.

"If he keeps is in the Premiership for that time, it is worth
something like 20m a year.

"He has to be the best signing I have ever made."
