: Dear Bill,

Great to see the Forest are back on line for a Uefa spot, heres hoping
Sunderland knock spurs out of the cup on sunday before the***ney bastards
go on and win it.

Forest are Back.

By Geordies of course - experts in theft.

You write dangerously, Mr Laws, seeing as you apparently reside in Newcastle.
I thought Scousers were more likely culprits...

Hey, I never thought of this angle at all. The possible
mackem/scouse/cartheft connection. Never leave yer alloyed wheeled XR2
in Hendon, or you'll be lucky if it's there when you get back.

Anyway, Dave, the only reason Geordies ever steal cars is for ram
raiding, it's well known fact. The real car thieves from Sunderland have
to come to Newcastle because who wants to steal a Skoda???? :-)))))

BTW, well done Tom "Soothsayer" Mitchell for correctly predicting 2-1 to
the Toon last night, and roll on Saturday 'cos I've got a ticket for the
4th round game!!! When you going to get to a game, Tom, or are you going
to turn into a sad anorak like someone I won't mention  and never go to
St. James' Park again?

BTW where's my BOB and Thelma story :-))))))????

But only apparently - in fact I now reside in Nottingham. Besides I'm just
trying to break the completely untrue rumour that Sunderland has more crime
than Newcastle. If you've ever lived in parts of Benwell and Fenham and
tried to insure your house contents you're bound to find out all about crime
in Newcastle. You also have a good chance of getting burgled at least a
couple of times a year
and, if you're really lucky, kids throw stones and bricks at your windows,
and, if you're even luckier, they throw the stones and bricks at you.
I went to a wedding at a church on Westgate Road a couple of years ago
and we had a rota system among some of the guests to watch the cars.
At a wedding in the same church a few months earlier three cars were
nicked from the street outside while the wedding was taking place.

Maybe, but I haven't lived there so I don't know.
I reckon Newcastle is a great place to live but saying it has less
crime than Sunderland is complete rubbish. Everywhere has its
problems and I would say Newcastle has less problems than most
other cities - but it isn't by any means completely without crime.
I'll also point out I lived in another part of Fenham and it was
very nice and relatively crime free.

What has this got to do with football -- not a lot but I thought it
needed to be said.
