I must say that better now than later, what I mean is that for a few games now
Mexico has had defensives lapses that were not capitalized by the opposition, (Chile
did and won). The problems are substantial and better be corrected or they will have
a headache in Uruguay.
Concerning the US they played a nice game but nothing outstanding, they had chances
and took care them as they should have, but they are soft in the midfield
(Dooley and Sorber are good at gaining the ball back) neither Reyna nor Jones are
the kind of midfielders to create play (I think Ramos and Koplas are better suited
Lastly concerning the Copa America, I must say the favorite has to be Brazil after
seeing them play England and Sweden. Argentina is a team in crisis in my opinion
trying to find an identity, they have strugled, I saw them play Peru and South
Africa and was not impressed (even thought they won and tie respectively). Uruguay
is an enigma. Chile beat Mexico but then lost to Peru in a disaster. Peru beat Chile
but them lost to Uruguay and Argentina. Ecuador did not fair that well in their
tour of Asia and finally I don't know how well Paraguay and Bolivia have done in the
We will see thought and hope that the USA has good performances down in Uruguay.
