Confused re: SoccerTV's Barca-Real Madrid info

Hi there,

SoccerTV informs me that the Barcelona-Real Madrid match won't
be shown live in the U.S. this time, because of the match time
being moved to accomodate Spanish pay-per-view.

It then tells me that:

Quote:
} Note that espn2 generally airs one of the two Spanish League telecasts
} shown over the weekend on ESPN Latin America, under an agreement with
} DirecTV/Galaxy Latin America which has overall control of the rights
} in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Does anyone know what this means in a practical sense?  Does it mean that
there's a chance that ESPN Latin America will show the match live?  If so,
is that something that U.S. satellite receivers (e.g. in a bar) can be
expected to be able to pick up?

Confused and ignorant,

Although I've found that espn2 tends to decide things at the last minute, TV
Guide on line shows Mallorca vs. Real Sociedad on Monday at 11:30AM Pacific
Time.  It seems as if ESPN International shows 2 matches live, espn2 predicts
which of them will be most interesting to show in the US on tape delay, but
feel free to change their mind after the matches are done.

The live slots on ESPN Latin America for Spanish Futbol are not the time the
Super Classico is taking place, so I imagine no ESPN feed is able to carry it,
mooting your other question.

However, even were it to be shown on ESPN Latin America, since that service is
only legally shown in Latin America, the chances of finding a bar that shows
that service is no more than zero.

>Confused and ignorant,

The real question is whether the game will be picked as the "Game of the
Week" from the Spanish Liga." Most past "big games" have been selected for
Monday's replay so I'd think this match certainly would - two big name teams
should draw a larger audience than normal. I would also advise to keep
checking with soccertv and usually Oliver will post the match if he finds
out early enough.
