ajax-juventus and arrogance

just let me say this:

arrogance never pays in the long run! ajax is an excellent team but it
is far from being unbeatable as juventus proved today.

even if the final result was obtained through penalty kicks, i think
nobody would argue that juventus had the best offensive chances (so
where's italy's lack of talent in the front?).

finally,  just hope torricelli plays this way in the EURO, he was
incredible today, by far the best man on the field IMO.

Benny,
I will keep this message in my files, and I will read it everytime I bother
replying to your bullshits. That is the biggest proof you could give us that
you are clueless about soccer. Comparing a bull like Torricelli to Baresi can
only be cluelessness or irony.

Toricelli is a great player, but you have to keep him on the wing.  For
a central defender, you have to look elsewhere.

Benny, have you ever actually _been_ to Milan to see a game?

Exactly the same thing happened 2 years ago when Barcelona and AC Milan
met in the final.

We all remember the incredible match Milan made. It was certainly the
best match in a decade.

Lippi was intelligent enough never to admit what he must have been sure
of: Juve at the moment is superior to Ajax. One must not forget that
Ajax had many key-players missing though.

Well done Juve! (Even though I'm a Milan fan)

Does it make you angry or envious that most teams, actually all teams
in Italy would rather have a superstar like Torricelli over Roberto
Carlos?

I betcha Inter would have traded them straight up, but instead they
had to drop RC's price from $9 mill to $4 mill in order to get rid
of him. But then again according to our little e-mail discussion you
claim that RC didn't play as well in Inter because they have a shitty
team. Whereas in Palmerias he had superior players playing beside him.
Which would mean that he is only as good as the players he plays with,
and not of his own skill.

Listen Irene, if you can't appreciate hard work, determination, desire and the
will to win, stick to watching Brazilian soccer. This explains the lazy party
attitude of Brazilian players, it's embedded in your culture.

Torricelli was outstanding in the final as he has been all season, he is also a
great defender and many people's choice for man of the match. It shows how
little you understand the system of play employed by Milan and Juventus.
The pressing game - you know, working hard to get possession of the
opposition? Have you actually seen Milan play? Haven't you noticed how they
close down their opponents? Didn't you see that the key to Juventus's defeat
of Ajax was giving the Dutch no time and space in possession, thus destroying
their usual system of play?

Don't bother re-posting or mailing me again, it's obvious now more than ever
you know less than nothing about soccer.

Screw you, Paolo! Baresi is past his best, Torricelli is not as creative as
Baresi but next season we have many other plays to rely on for offence,
we need a strong, hard working, physical defender, ideally suited to our
system of play. I know that because of the pact between Juventus and Milan,
Torricelli will not leave Turin.

No, I live in England if you hadn't noticed and besides I would much rather
watch a UFC (before it gets banned) or ECW card live. I am paranoid about
watching Milan. What happens if they lose or draw 0-0? It would kill me!
Besides Van Basten no longer players and Savicevic is usually injured so
there is no guarantee that my favourite player will be there.

Of course  Milan can only dream of having a player
with the heart of Torricelli.
Keep your pretty faced stars, who could only win 1 European
cup in their three appearances in the final.

Dear Dumbenny,
The point is:
a) won't answer to your ignorant comments about the Brazilian culture, you
have never been there to see anything, BTW I think you never left your boring
Middlesboro;
b) if you want to see determination and willingness to win, stick to Mauro
Silva, Dunga and Mazinho - I doubt you can remember a midfield trio with more
determination to win, hardworking and physical power;
MOREOVER:
c) YOUR COMMENT ABOUT TORRICELLI SUBSTITUTING FOR BARESI ONLY SHOWED THAT YOU
ARE COMPLETELY IGNORANT ABOUT SOCCER AND YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO RESPECT
AN IDOL LIKE BARESI. TORRICELLI DOESN'T EVEN PLAY IN THE SAME POSITION AS
BARESI. IF YOU HAD SENT THIS MESSAGE TO A MILAN FAN-CLUB WHICH YOU ARE
ASSOCIATED I BET YOU WOULD BE EXPELLED. YOU ARE CLUELESS.

Benny,

I cant believe how stupid you are. What do you know about Brazil?

Just because your city is so poor in terms of soccer that you need to
suport a team that you never saw alive you don't have the right to talk
about a 150 milions people country.

But I don't care. You are just a stupid guy who began watch soccer in
1990 and never saw your team playing, you couldn't even choose a single
team like everybody. Poor Benny treped in Middlesburg suporting Ajax and
Milan (you already switch to Juventus?); and suporting Italy and Ducth.

Now. with no soccer arguments, came to talk about all brazilians. You
must be a pround european who don't believe in inteligent life out of
Europe. YOU ARE A PATHETIC RACIST.

My friend, do the names Desailly, Albertini and Weah mean anything to you?
Both Juve and Milan have some players with tremendous heart and the will to
win, the three I mentioned for Milan and at Juve Conte, Torricelli and
Ravanelli but sadly no longer Vialli.

Don't make the same mistake as some Ajax fans by getting a chip on your
shoulder, Milan have 5 European Cups and all were won without penalties
and two were won by 4-0.
