Real Madrid 1996-97

Considering that Capello likes to play a 4-4-2, this will be the probable
team of Real Madrid for the next season:

                                     Raul                Suker

                                              Hierro
Mijatovic
Seedorf (Alfonso?????)

                                             Redondo

                                     Garcia Calvo (Sanz?????)
Lizarazu (?????)
      Belsue (??????)

                                              Alkorta

                                            Canizares

The defense is not set yet because there are still signings to make  and
there are several options among the young players of Real Madrid. Lizarazu
is a very big ? because several teams are trying to sign him. I say since
he is basque, he'll probably end up in Bilbao. Aranzabal of Real Sociedad
could be placed in his position but this signing is also doubtful. This
team should return the club to the top of european competition.

Cheers,

Andrea

These guys already forgot what they wrote in this forum a year ago...
Why don't you just wait and see how your team works? Cheers,

Considering that this season is the official worst season in the history
of Real Madrid beating all kind of negative records, it just can't get any
worse than this.

Real Madrid 96-97 is a new born team. New coach, new goalkeeper, new
defense, new midfield, new attack, new management, new president. The only
thing that doesn't change is the stadium.

And the signings that the team has made are pretty spectacular. Mijatovic
is the best soccer player in the world right now. Suker has done it all in
the spanish league. Seedorf was called the best player in the italian
league by Capello (and he wasn't even in his team). Capello is the best
soccer coach in Italy and one of the two best in the world with Cruyff. If
you compare these signings to last year's (Rincon (what a ***y joke),
Esnaider (he should have stayed in Zaragoza) ) and the ridiculous
performance of Zamorano ( more worried about money than playing) it is
obvious that we'll have a much much better team next season.

It just doesn't get any better than that. If this team is not able to turn
around Real Madrid then it is time to switch off the lights for the soccer
section of the club and concentrate in basketball where we still keep
winning european championships.

Cheers,

Andrea

Why don't you take a look at what Real Madrid's fans wrote in this
forum a year ago and compare?

Seedorf has been awful for Sampdoria and Holland recently. Capello also seems
to think Eranio is a better player then either Lentini or Baggio! I'm sure
Capello will win many league titles for Real Madrid but don't bet on the
European Cup, his record is awful - 1 cup from 3 finals.

And you call that a bad record?. Lets see how many finals Milan plays with
the new and better coach whoever that is. Personally I believe Milan shot
themselves in the foot by not offering Capello more money.

Seedorf will only be a reinforcement for Madrid in the midfield. He will
be a good compliment to Mijatovic and Redondo. I believe that he'll have
more room to show his skills in Madrid that in Genova and could become a
very big name in european soccer in a couple of years.

Andrea

In what position does Seeedorf play?
