Zen-Ruffinen says FIFA's referees need reform--Look what this arrogant european says

He said FIFA "will have to invest a lot of money to really globalize
refereeing and improve it, uniformly."

Zen-Ruffinen, a former referee himself, said seminars for Third World
referees should be intensified and made more practical, not just
theoretical, and that referees from one nation could officiate in
another's national league, to broaden experience.

"Like players and managers, referees could also emigrate, even
temporarily."

Federations, particularly from minor footballing powers, should commit
to sending a number of referees abroad every year to officiate in
other leagues.

Third world referees are the only ones that make mistakes I guess.....
where was the refeeree from for the Croatia-Italy game????
european..maybe or look at the Scot today at the US-Germany game not
only he did not see a Hand ball but the german, # 22 did stop the ball
from going into the goal using his hand!!!! so it wasn't just a
penalty but also a red card. Mistakes are done by all referres not
just from "minor footballing powers". For god sakes just install
cameras and review th play . Each team is going to have 3 camara calls
to review controversial calls, very easy to solve. And what up with
the germans diving all the time, I guess they have been watching
italy's videos.

I think you should be pointing fingers at the linesmen.

He got those decisions right though. One of the best refereeing perormances
I've seen in this world cup.

Anything that helps improve the level of refereeing is worth listening to,
the easy thing to do is lay back and moan.
The toughest leagues in the world are "la liga", "Calcio", EPL, and
Bundesliga , the experience might help them.
We dont have such scandalous refereeing in Europeans cups or nations cup.
He would be arrogant if he was asking for euro refs and only euro refs to
whistle in the world cup but thats not the case.

That's under the assumption that Europe has no "minor footballing
powers", yes?
