To fill the summer gap III - Austrian League Round 3 (R)

This weekend Bundesliga and Ligue 1 are starting,
so there'll soon be more important matches to follow...

T-Mobile-Bundesliga
Round 3

Saturday (Round 1 postponed match)

Mattersburg - Sturm Graz  3:1
Khbauer (AUT) 3' (pen), Fl?p (HUN) 38'
Thomas Wagner (AUT) 91'; Rojas (CHI) 31'

Sturm wasted a million chances, newcomers Mattersburg
none, Sturm's defence was a mess, there's still much work
to do for the new Sturm coach, Frenchman Gilbert Gress
(ex-Metz, Switzerland, Strasbourg).

Wednesday (Round 3)

Rapid Vienna - Admira M?dling 1:0
11.800; Ren Wagner (CZE) 33'

One-sided match and a highly deserved victory.
Surprisingly, Rapid is playing the most attractive football
in the league.

Bregenz - Sturm Graz 2:1
7.500; Aslan (AUT) 24', Klausz (HUN) 41'; Rojas (CHI) 65'
Red card: De Wilde (Sturm) 91'

Last season Sturm had the worst defence in the league, and
nothing has changed so far this season. Logical consequence:
Panic transfer - Frenchman Franck Silvestre (Bastia, 11 caps
for the French team, 36 years old) is joining Sturm.

Mattersburg - K?rnten 0:0
13.500

Both teams remain unbeaten in this season, and that's really
the only positive thing about this match.

Postponed:

Pasching-Salzburg  (Pasching was busy humiliating Werder
Bremen 4-0 ;-)
Grazer AK-Austria Vienna (GAK participating in the 2nd
CL qualifying round - 5:1 victory in Tirana)
