Everton are the best team in Liverpool and that's proven! Within nine
days Everton have outplayed the RS twice, first in the stiffs at Anfield
by 4-0 (Limpar, Barlow, Ebbrell, Moore) and then the first team at
Goodison by 2-0 (Ferguson, Rideout).

Six-nil in two last games between The Blues and RS!

What more evidence do you need?!

Careful examination of the League-table perhaps?

Going to book your ticket to another Liverpyule Supporters' Club 'Blues
relegation party' this year, and have it fall on it's arse again are ya?

Would you like the full list?
I'm sure we can dig one up for you if you want, wipe.
Bigger than your list, I'll bet.

What a sad life you've got if your only pleasure is from 'doing better
than some other team'. Hey, never mind that (by YOUR definition!) you're
crapper than Man Utd, Newcastle, Blackburn.... at least you're above
 EVERTON.. party on!

Anyway, if we do go down.. (we won't but you can always dream).. we'll
be going down laughing at Red slime like you for that hilarious
 performance.

full list?!?!?  from what i remember the last time when Everton finished
   higher than Liverpool was NEVER!!!!!!
Everton will be lucky if they even have  a chance to play against Liverpool
for the next 20 years,  they mite play in FA Cup if Everton wins the
   1st, 2nd, 3rd Rd. etc...
we mite meet in the finals but can Everton make it?
   I think NOT!

Liverpool are crappier than Man Utd., Newcastle and Blackburn?!?
Who the *** said that?!?     they are just higher in the standings now
and it does NOT show the final standings!!
well, we can say Everton are a ***team cuz even they win the rest of the

Seems like an other well-informed american "fan" to me..Funny, I thought
you can't finish higher than the champ, but perhaps I'm wrong..

If that was a joke, sorry, I didn't get it, but try looking for, say, all
time records. Everton leads the points total in the English League.

Hehhheeh. If we win rest of the matches, we'll be champions, FYI. BTW,
we just won our third match yesterday.

Well I am sorry to have offended these Mersey blues, I think that my
intention of showing Liverpool to be the best team in the city was
confused with a hatred of Everton, I actually relished the days when the
two great teams were battling it out for the championship and FA cup, I
was just pointing out the fact that Liverpool have had a better record
over the past few years. I will be glad for the day when Everton can
push Liverpool for the title again - It will happen.
So just `Calm down' guys

Lets stop this once and for all, I am from Liverpool and although I support
Liverpool I do not want the Blues to go down. This would mean an end to the
Merseyside derby which is always good to watch. I enjoyed the days when there
were Merseyside finals at Wembley in the FA Cup and hopefully Everton will get
back on course soon so these can happen again.

Also, how can you say Everton are number one in Liverpool, look at the
league positions - yes, Everton won against Liverpool and did so well but one
game does not mean they are the best. This happens every time there is a derby,
the winning team comes out saying they are the all time kings. If Everton came
a few places higher than Liverpool in the league then you may be right but
how can you say that now? Also take a look at history - how many league
championships have Liverpool won? How many have Everton won? Case closed.

If your mmemory is really that bad then I suggest you stop using
those aluminium pots and pans. In the meantime, maybe you can try
writing yourself messages with important reminders, like.. "don't
send postings about things I don't know anything about".

[quite a lot of ***actually]

As a Liverpool supporter, Id like to apologise to all sane footy fans,
including the Blues that it was directed at in the fisrt place,
for the previous posting by BJ Chang, which showed an ignorance
that has been rivalled only a few times on rss.

I can only ask Mr Chang to change his attitude and write factual
posts in future, and stop this over-hyped ***which surfaces
when allegiance goes a bit too far.

Its OK to take the***(if not offending), like
"Barry Horne couldnt score in a ***" (see Saturdays highlights),
cos Evertonians can then argue back
"Ian Rush couldnt score against a blind Nun with her legs tied together"
(see most of this seasons highlights),
but just spouting shite with masses of capital letters, asterix's, etc,
with no real meaning to your post that makes any sense is not welcomed
even by supporters of your own club.

Especially after that performance last Monday.

We know that already...but I'd prefer the "We don't need Cantona 'cos we've
got Barry Horne" instead...:)

Oh well good on you, sport.....you mean as long as we don't beat you of course
..
Lets stop this once and for all, I am from Liverpool and although I support
Everton, nothing would please me more than seeing the reds go down.
This would mean an end to the Merseyside derby which is always *hell*
to watch unless you're winning 3-0 with 2 minutes to go..I don't know
any *true* supporters who 'enjoy' watching them as a spectacle, the
*fear* factor is far too high..although the *joy* of winning is
something to savour....And I can understand Reds supporters wanting
to renew their Wembley matches against us when they can rely on refs
to ignore blatant 'Hand balls' and rob us of glory..(why Alan Han'd'sen
   is so-called)..

As far as comparing current teams are concerned, as someone famous
(Henry Ford?) said "History is bunk"...However, if you want to talk history
one thing conveniently forgotten, is that Everton have been 'robbed'
of the chance of potential trophies when having some of their better
teams..
Everton win the league in 1914-15....World War I
                                            no league for several years
Everton win the league in 1938-39....World War II
(Dixie Dean at his peak)             No league for several years
Everton win the League and CWC 1985..Robbed of Europeam Cup glory
                                            by Heysel tragedy
                                            Despite Everton supporters
                                            exemplary behaviour at
                                            Rotterdam the previous week!.

Yes , Liverpool are higher that Everton in the premiership at the moment,
where they finish at the end of the season is currently unknown,
BUT one thing is Definite...
in the Merseyside League the standings are..
          P W D L F A Pts
Everton   1 1 0 0 2 0  3
Liverpool 1 0 0 1 0 2  0

..with one game to go.

Bollocks! How can you judge whether which team is best by producing
this sad league table which contains one result in one season?

Sorry Jason, but how can it be 'bollocks' when it's fact..?
..
I never said it was a means of judging which team is 'best'....

because to define 'best' first you have to define the boundaries
you're working within...

e.g. Do you mean the club (not team) that has been most successful in the
past..?
...presumably Liverpool
Do you mean the team that is showing the best form 'at the moment'
resultswise..?
...presumably Everton ( 13 pts from last 15)
Do you mean the team that is showing the best form over the current
season...?
...presumably Liverpool (of the two clubs), Blackburn otherwise
Do you mean the team which has been most successful in the most recent
derby match (direct confrontation between the two protagonists)..?
...presumably Everton

Perhaps you'd like to add a little more to your witty, pithy comment
:-)

BTW, sorry if some of the words in this are a bit long for you.

Another bit of 'fact' to chew over....*if* Liverpool qualify for
the UEFA cup, via league position, they *won't* have done it by getting
6 points out of the Blues...

:-)
