Given their record in PKs
why did Buffon and others seem to be running the clock down in ET ?

do you think they just fancied it because Korea missed 2 pens in the event
already
and Buffon is pretty good ??

or do you think they werent wasting time?

if they were, its a *bit* amusing that it all went wrong at the end,
although cruel!!!

Errrr........maybe it had something to do with the fact they had only 10
men???

that often leads to teams playing better than when they had 11.
Italy still had enough firepower to win the game in ET.

Thwey were 10 against 11 and they didn't try for the pks anyway:
simply Vieri and other playerts were tired, so they preferabvly tried
to give time to recover after a run bfore starting a new action.

After Totti was ejected, which was about 10minutesof ET, but before that I
didn't think so.
