And if they lose, then it means Italian football isn't much good at
all and that winning the world cup was a fluke? You can't have it both
ways....
Milan are a good team, played ManU off the pitch the other night, but
what that proved is: AC Milan are the better team this year. The rest
of the jingoistic stuff about my nation's league can beat up your
nation's league is tedious.

I don't know, have watched hardly any Serie A this year. But that
second leg game in Milan was a dismantaling the likes of which is hard
to argue with. It is indisputably evidence that Milan are the better
team (that's how we decide who's better -- who wins) and is evidence
of one of two other things:
AC Milan is a pretty good team, or ManU is a pretty bad team. I
believe it's the first.
Why Manchester sucked so hard in milan is a bit of a mystery. Me and
my buddy were wondering in the first half if Manchester had forgotten
to wear their rain boots. They were slipping, second to every loose
ball and generally seemed unable to compete athletically, which is the
last thing I would have expected. (Heinze looked like he'd never
played football before).
For what it's worth I wanted ManU to go through but they were
deservedly beaten.
In my opinion, the Champion's league is the biggest, most important
competetion in the world. I don't know what die-hard AC Milan fans
want, but I would value a Champions League medal over a scudetto.
