NORTHEAST DIVISION
-Dragons win two; Fever breaks
The Jersey Dragons opened their sesaon with two victories this weekend.  On
Friday they hosted the St. Louis Knights in a game that saw the new rules come
into play.  The game was tied 2-2 after regulation and overtime and was decided
on corner kicks.  The Dragons by way of 9 corner kicks to 3 for the Knights,
won the game.  Chris Da Silva and Said Neme scored goals for the Dragons, while
K. Moser and J. Inkin notched goals for the Knights.  The Dragons then turned
around to host the Philadelphia Freedom to the tune of a 3-0 Jersey win.
Carlos Rodriguea had two Dragon goals and Chris Cotton added the final touch to
this win.
The New York Fever, coming off two impressive opening wins in Florida, came
back to earth this weekend as they met the Connecticut Wolves in Connecticut on
Saturday.  The Wolves pounced with a 2-0 win in front of 1,108 fans.  Mike
Saunders led the Pack with two goals on assists from Pierre Noga and Ben
Mrijaj.
The North Jersey Imperials bolted out of the gate wtih a win over the St. Louis
Knights.  The Imperials scored early with goals from Robinson and Kelly, but
St. Louis countered on goals by Gary Imig and Jerry Lakin.  The game remained
tied after overtime and the Imperials won on corner kicks with 8 to the Knights
