"OK, Someone may need to verify this for me but I just did some research
on
every US international since their first in 1885 against Canada.
"With Saturday's win against CR, the US has won 5 straight games. Never
in the history of the US national team has it ever won 5 straight games.
4 straight was reached numerous times but never 5 straight."
Close, but not quite there yet.
The all-time record is six consecutive wins (all full internationals).
This win streak extended from June 29, 1991 through August 28, 1991. It
consisted of FIVE straight wins in the Gold Cup '91 (which US won) and a
friendly against Romania in August.
Now for UNBEATEN streaks:
we're on an eight game unbeaten streak, (last loss was last August's
friendly against Ecuador).
The all-time undefeated streak for USA is nine games, extending from
6/1/91 - 9/14/91.
Two more victories and we beat both streaks and cop the gold cup!
