Venezuela 3 - Euzkadi 4 FT

Aduriz 8', Etxeberria 20', 40', Gaditano 30'

Torrealba 23', Arango 80' (pen), 86'.

(times of goals approximate)

At half time this match seemed to be a roller coaster for the
Basques.  Then Paez, the Venezuelan coach
sent in 8 substitutes, our more experienced players, among them
Mallorca's Arango and the Vinotinto
almost got a draw, when De Ornelas (coming from Norway) hit the post
in the last minute of regular
time.

(To be fair, our first and third goals also hit the post before going
in).

Arango scored a penalty commited against Mea-Vitali and afterwards
after a short free kick, in a brand new
Laboratory play, which I had never seen.

Mea-Vitali took distance for the free kick.

Arango and another player were covering the ball, giving their backs
to the Basque goal.
The other player kick the ball short for Arango, who turned towards
the goal, shot with
his left foot, the ball hit the post to the right of goalie and went
in, surprising everyone.

As Euskadi is not a NT recognized by FIFA the number of substitutions
were unlimited.

Edder Perez (VEN) and Gaditano (EUS) were sent off during FH.

Venezuelan made 11 and the Basques 7.
