I agree 100%. Muller is truly one of a kind, blessed with almost
invisible supernatural powers. Anybody can recognize the talent in a
Higuain or Lloris, but only the true connoisseurs will be able to
identify the truly unique abilities of Thomas Mueller.

And I say that not because I picked him in Fantasy Scout without ever
seeing him play a single minute of a live game!

He reminds me of a permanently forward Nicola Berti: wiry, combative, ever
running exploiter of spaces between the lines.

Btw, it helped a lot that Robben was brought in on the right and Mueller
could play through the middle. But I think his technique is underrated due
to his goofy, uncoordinated looks. Like Berti again, he is a very good
touch passer and dribbles well.

I think Mueller is a very underrated player, he looks awkward, but his
footballing perception is excellent.  But making him the inventor of
new positions and giving him super human powers and a cloak of
invisibility etc, is maybe a bit too much?
Not that I dont think he is an intelligent player and if he someday
is able to use some kind of mind control or whatever it is, to make
himself invisible, then the article is genius and the writer is the
next Issac Asimov.

Exaggerated, but true. His assists and goals confirm how good the " Football
Nerd" is.

To evaluate what he does, you'll need to go to the stadium and see the
off-the-ball runs he does too, not just what you see on TV.

Thank you for sharing this, some of the imagery is priceless.

mane flowing, nostrils flared, like a horse hurled from a speeding
