Roberto Ricca sets the record straight on England-Italy matches and

I think that in addition to the USSR and the other Country Which Will
Be Nameless (AKA - Italy's greatest humilation), Italy has a losing
record with Uruguay and East Germany (I think we disagree on the last
one because I saw that you were wondering on one the score of a game
in E.Berlin...I think it was 2-0 for E. Germany and you think it was
2-2...perhaps someone can clarify this - the games was held in 1969...)

That's not bad, though. A losing record against only 4 countries. And
against the other "Big Four" countries, we are comfortably ahead of
Germany, way out in front of Argentina, and dead even with Brasil.

Not too shabby...especially for a team that doesn't take friendlies
too seriously.
I hope it continues this summer.

Cheers,
Loris

It was 2-2.  Both Italian goals by Gigi Riva.

The game East Germany - Italy in 1969 ended in a 2-2 draw after Italy were
down 2-0 at half-time. Therefore Italy's record against East-Germany was;
Played 4 won 1 drew 2 lost 1 For 5 Against 3.. The Italians having beaten
East-Germany 3-0 in the Return in Naples ( I think )
I refer you too my original post titled east-Germany Italy 26-3-69
