by I have no idea whatsoever why Maldini used Albertini and Dino Baggio as
midfielders. They are mainly defensive midfielders, and were not effective
at all in piercing through the English defence and distribute the ball to
the forwards. Because of the 3 striker setup (Inzagi, Vieri, Zola)
wouldn't it be better to use ( although the much-hated) Roberto Baggio as
midfielder, who is much much more creative.
And hell, Maldini should used Del Piero at the start and put him in
midfield or wing position, cause he is a terrific ball handler. I think
Maldini should place Del Piero, R.Baggio and Di Livio in midfield and use
Ravanelli, Zola and Vieri as strikers. For god's sake I don't know why
Ravanelli is not in the game, as his good size and strength should be very
effective against the tough, big English defenders.
