During the broadcast, the point was made that it was the biggest
comeback in the EPL history. I wonder if overcoming four goal deficit
the record for the English top Division?

Hmm..  For the top division, QPR came back from 0-4 down against Jack
Charlton's Newcastle in 1984 to draw 5-5.  The highest-scoring draw
and the highest number of goals both teams have managed in Division
One history is 6-6, which happened a few times.  Biggest ever victory
is 13-4, which is quite small considering the league is 115 years
old!  I'm not sure if the records exist to show the scoring method,
but I haven't come across anyone pulling back more than a four goal
deficit.  You could try bunging the SoccerData people (not
SoccerData.com, but Tony Brown's crazy people) 20 to get their
records on all matches but I am not certain if they have the times of
the goals.
