3 hours to go until the Barbaric hordes will once again cross the Alps
and lay waste to the land.

Prediction: Juve - Bayern 1-2

If kicker has the line ups correct, the Robben curse will sink Bayern
and everyone will be calling for Heynkes to get fired and Robben to be
dropped.

Aufstellung
Buffon - Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini - Padoin, Pogba, Pirlo,
Marchisio, Asamoah - Quagliarella, Vucinic
Trainer: Conte
Neuer - Lahm, van Buyten, Dante, Alaba - Javi Martinez, Schweinsteiger
- Robben, T. Mller, Ribery - Mandzukic
Trainer: Heynckes

If Robben plays prediction
3-0

If Robben does not play
1-1

Bayern will miss Kroos.

I thought Torino was in Cis-Alpine Gaul, so aren't Juventinos
technically Barbarians as well?

Tuned in at the 15th minute of the second half, just in time for Robben
to hit the post.

And now Mandzukic scores. Game, set and leg.

FT: 0-2 Pizarro added a second in the dying minutes.

Juve never even came close to threatening. A good run overall, but the
gulf in quality between us and the top teams in Europa is just too large.

Man what a *** second half...   Juve were better till about 30'
then we achieved parity, then after about 50' we completely took over.
Excellent performance in this tie.  You'd think we might just be good
enough to beat BvB.

Let's just hope there are only international ties in the semi. Who would
you prefer - Barca or Real?

Atletic Bilbao.

Unfortunately they aren't on the list, so maybe Real, but only just.
BVB would be my last choice, BTW. We can only lose there, and I'm not
sure whether we would be able to handle the mental issues in that clash.

Schweinsteiger very nervous today in the first 20 minutes, and
that was maybe the main reason it was all Juve in the first 30 minutes.
The first releif came only after about 35 minutes, when Bayern
had some control in Juve's half for the first time.

Barca and Real favourites, BVB the secret horse (if you get as lucky
as they did yesterday, you normally win it all). Bayern should be
considered the underdog.

Couldn't you have tuned in earlier? Would have made the
evening much more relaxed.

In the first half Juve actually was threatening. Few really good
chances, but constant pressure.

How do you rate Juve's perspective for the following years?

Barely possible.

I was wondering about next season: with Rib/Rob/M ller/Shaq/Kroos
the midfield front is well equipped, and 3 strikers may even be
too much for Guardiola.

CB has Badstbr./Dante/Boateng/Kirchhoff and maybe van B., so that's
ok. But I think we need a good back-up for Schweinsteiger. Someone
like Sahin (who an also play Kroos' role)...

Who else could fit the bill?

Mandzukic misses the next game.
and they will miss his physical presence.

So it seems last years top scorer-Super Mario-is now the third pick
striker behind Pizarro?  I cant help but feel badly for the guy.

any team that can win with Robben playing the full game, deserves
credit.

Yeah, and HSV will play CL next season. ;)

Barca -> Bayern -> Real -> BVB.

But the differences aren't big, anybody can beat anybody on their day.

And Barca really only on past merit - the way they creeped through the
two last rounds wasn't convincing.

Toothless attack. And then there's some gap in quality around the field as
well.

This is their level unless they get a quality striker at least. Pirlo
looks on the wane too, with full back positions not final four CL standard
either.
