Do you have a prediction of the probably scoreline and, of course, how many
RED cards will be flashed on the day?

Didn't GB score 5 on that day ?
Isn't that the stock footage they always use on BBC when they mention the
pickled Paddy ?
Still a nice guy tho, he bought /me/ a drink once :-)

6 actually, and there were doubts over whether he was going to play in the
first place

Dunno why it always make me think of Ted MacDougall, another FA cup record
holder

1970-71 John Bond replaced Freddie Cox as manager. MacDougall set F.A. Cup
scoring record (6) in an 8-1 victory over non-league Oxford City. The club
won promotion to the 3rd Division

1971-72 AFCB and Ted MacDougall made National news headlines with AFCB
winning 11-0 at home to Margate in the F.A.Cup with MacDougall scoring 9
goals - (A new record)

Well why didn't you say that?

You want United to win then? Well done. Personally, I'm backing
the underdog.

Only a record in the FA Cup Proper. I dont't know what the overall
record is, but there was the poor guy from St Albans City who scored
all 7 for his team, when they went down 8-7 to Dulwich Hamlet.

Reminds me of the FA Cup tie in 1962 when Denis Law scored all 6 for
Man City at Luton. Unfortunately the match was abandoned after 70
minutes with City leading 6-2 because the pitch was waterlogged. When
the game was replayed Luton won 3-1.

The day that Arbroath beat Bon Accord 36-0 was the same day that Dundee (I
believe, it's 3am and I'm pissed...) won 35-1, and celebrated through the
night thinking they held the new record.

ok so it's only 20 minutes by car nowadays...
