Don't know 'em now, won't see 'em in 2 years...

As another batch of youngsters are taken off the production line
from the nation of football, and given their test against the host
nation of the next Olympic games, the message back to production
is "defective"...

In 3 games (well 2 and a half at the time of writing) we have seen
a team lacking in discipline, skill, defensive organisation.
It is impossible for Brazil to be lacking in 11 decent young
footballers, so get out on those paddocks and beaches, and get
some respectable footballers to represent the country.

Contrary to the hosts, who have played with that real beach
football taste.  The once retired from Australian internationals,
and top goalkeepers in world football, Mark Bosnich is one to take
notice this past week.  He has been the first to put his hand up for
one of the 3 over aged places avaliable to each team.

Stan Lazaridis will certainly be favourite for the next over aged
position, with the 3rd coming from either Zelic, Foster, Viduka,
or whoever happens to find some form much closer to the competition.
Hopefully, Harry Kewell should have recovered from his groin injury
by 2000, and what is left is a host nation destined for its first
Olympic medal in the sport, and go that one better than the 4th placing
of 6 years ago.
