Eric Cantona - latest news

If anyone's interested in the latest news on "Eric le Terrible", he
arrived in Sheffield yesterday (Monday), for initially a week's trial
with Wednesday. If that goes well, he will sign on loan for the rest of
the season, with the possibility of a permanent move at the end that (at
of a cost of 750-900,000 pounds supposedly). He has said he is "putting
his past behind him", and refused to let French journalists into the
press conference. His only English spoken so far has been apparently
"French journalists - shit!". He has even taken a wage cut to 4,000
pounds a week, which still makes him one of the highest paid players in
the league.

So there you have it. I hope this week goes well as it will add quite a
bit more interest to games - not that we really need it playing the way
we are (pending injuries). Now which songs will his name fit
into....????

How has the English press responded to him?  Have they attacked him at
all (verbally of course :-) ?

What has Trevor Francis had to say about Cantona's past and his future
role at Wednesday (keeping in mind that he probably wouldn't say much
until after the trial week was up) ?
