I think he's got it just a bit wrong - what he should have said was "At
times, especially at the beginning of the season, ..................".
Certainly, at times, they played a brand of football that has very rarely
been seen anywhere in the world & were probably the best team in the world -
at that time. Wenger saying that they could go unbeaten all season seemd to
give them a burden they just weren't strong enough to carry.
Did anybody also pick up on this.
According to "midnight" quoting Vieira
Quote:
> 'I have seen Manchester United so many times on television this season
> and they were playing really poor football - really rubbish.
> 'When I was watching they just did not play well. But United have this

Compare this with the following taken from a later message in the thread
"Vicente Del Bosque. We are the best team in Europe"
Zidane added his parting shot as well, "I have seen Juventus so many times
on
television this season and when I was watching they just did not play well."
"They were playing really poor football - really rubbish - but Juve have
this or that
player who comes up with a trick, they score a goal and then they win
one-nil or two-nil.
"I think that was the difference this season. Madrid are the better team. In
fact,
there is no doubt that we are the best football team in Europe.
"I tell you, Madrid play fantastic football, but what has been shown is that
playing
fantastic football is not enough."
I didn't realise that Vieira & Zidane were so attuned in thought - must be a
French thing.
