With a little insider gossip, I can semi-confidently say that
John Barnes will sign for the Academy of Football, West Ham,
in the next few days.  (BTW England's greatest Striker Ian Wright
scored 2 more tonight, leaving him 1 short of the All time Arsenal
scoring record.

Why would we need him anyway, we have an overloaded Midfield.

Barnes is an old Man now, I think Harry must desperately want an old bloke
for some master plan he has up his sleave.  Pearce was wooed and Mcgrath was
given a go and now Barnes, where would he fit in, who would lose their
place?

Then again maybe he could come in instead of Bish, who will no doubt get
loads of games some how or other.

: Looks as if he is going to sign for Newcastle instead, they've stitched
: us up again.

It seems that Newcastle have something against the Hammers, once was
unlucky but twice is taking the piss! What do they want Barnes for
anyway, it's all very suspicious. Just got him to stop us getting him,
tossers.

It does seem a little unusual as Barnes had made a verbal agreement with
Harry and especially as I understood Harry and Kenny were mates.

Anyway I really ddn't want Pearce and barnes would have been a short term
option in a team that I believe has potential to do well this year.

I'm sure there's a little more to it than that, and it was Barnes'
decision after all.  Mind you, I say he would have served the Hammers
better.  What can I say?  Sorry Ron...
