Yes, Forest make it to their first F. A. Cup final in 32 years!
The score at Villa Park, Birmingham was

Nottingham Forest 4
Crosby
Keane
Pearce
Charles

West Ham United 0

All the goals came in the second half. West Ham player Tony Gail was sent
off for a professional foul. I suppose this was really only an exercise
match for the real thing, but all the same I'm impressed, especially after
their dismal League showing.

I was looking forward to seeing Forest stuff Arsenal in the final but I'm
sure it doesn't matter who they play as long as they win. At least Liverpool
won't win ANYTHING thins season (for a change)

The so called professional foul was not any such thing.  You are the first
person I have heard to imply the ref was right.  Gale was taking Crosby on when
he was not running at goal.  Gale fell onto Crosby when he was chasing him and
Crosby slowed up a fraction. They then tangled legs, inevitably.

It'll be a sad day when defenders can't attempt tackles for fear of a sending
off.  Referees this season are out of control and FIFA are to blame.

Before Gale went off NF looked anything but overwhelming and to my neutral
view it may have gone either way before Hackett ruined the afternoon's
entertainment except for NF fans.

Anyway here's to John Sheridan, for winning the League Cup last Sunday for
the Owls, beating Manchester Utd 1-0.  And some person even poo-pooed Shez's
value on the net a few weeks ago when I had criticised Clough for selling him
for less than he bought him from Leeds, and without giving him a game!
We look forward to beating you at Elland Rd next season, Shez.
