POSTING FOLLOW-UP in a THREAD

POSTING FOLLOW-UP in a THREAD

Post by Carl Jon » Thu, 10 Dec 1992 02:45:07

Given the large number of articles, from my perspective it would be easier to
select and follow discussions of interest if originators would select an
appropriate subject and follow-up posters would stick to that subject (don't
change it) so that it would form a thread that was easy to follow.  Perhaps it
is because I am using tin, a full-screen threaded Netnews reader, which gathers
articles with the same subject and follows the "thread" of the discussion.  If
you do not have such a net reader at your site, I believe that tin is "free".
And even if you do not have such a facility, if you respond to a posting and
use the existing subject, it will make it easier fot those who do have threaded
netnews readers.
