Congrats to Derry City who at last registered a win for a League of
Ireland team in European competition. They beat Loko Sofia 1-0. Sadly
they will possibly get hammered in the 2nd leg. Seen it all before.

Incidentally, Leeds beat Shelbourne 3-1 with goals from Wetherall(2)
and David White.

Graham,

Have you forgotten Sligo Rovers magnificent showing in the Cup Winners Cup.

Derry did very well, and while it will be difficult for them to get through, they will certainly give it a
better go than most of the other Small minded sides who don't train for Europe.

Teams with a more professional outlook like Derry and Sligo will always do better.
