Sporting's 18 year old Adrien Silva is moving up to the first team,
ranked the best 15 year old player in the world 3 years ago. Aged 17
joined the club's U-19 team last Summer and despite being surrounded
by older players quickly established himself as an automatic choice
for the coach.

He's the next big thing. Without a doubt the most promissing 18 year
old in the country right now. Chelsea tried to sign him in December
2004 and he prefred to stay while 2 others Sporting youngsters
(Ricardo Fernandes and Fbio Ferreira) moved to Stamford Bridge.

I wouldn't be surprised if he grabs a spot in the midfield right off
the bat and plays for us in the CL. The midfield will likely be
Romagnoli as No10, Moutinho and Adrien as Centre-Midfielders and
Miguel Veloso as No6, the latter 3 have all come up through our
cantera and been national champions for us from U-15 all the way to
U-19.

Portugal's U-21 midfield Vs Holland yesterday in the final 10 minutes
was pretty much Sporting's midfield in league games this past season;
Moutinho, Veloso, Nani and Yannick.

Reports in Portugal are growing that Arsenal is lining up a 22,5
million euro offer for Jo?o Moutinho. My guess is that if they are
interested they won't get him unless they pay his buyout clause (30
million) because after selling Nani (who the club did not want to
sell) the club will fight tooth and nail to keep it's 20 year old
Captain who is under contract untill 2013.
