- IMPORTANT: it only counts if you write down your complete line-up or
orders in the following form: "Player X in, player Y out." Anything
else (e.g. "can I change X with Y?" :) ) is not a valid order.
- Any player whose team has not played yet can be replaced by any
other player whose team has not played yet.
- Min 3 defenders, max 3 forwards (positions according to
http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2013/clubs/index.html )
- Only goals scored count.

Argentina (Futbolmetrix): Otamendi Demichelis Pareja - Pastore DiMaria
Gaitan L.Gonzalez - Messi Aguero Saviola

Belgium (ixion martin - GdBx): Alderweireld Kompany Lombaerts
VanBuyten Vermaelen - Gillet Hazard Klonaridis Witsel - DeSutter

Brazil (Jesus Petry): DanielAlves Lucio Maicon - Nene Anderson Ramires
Oscar - Ari Jonas Hulk

France (The Scrutineer): Evra Mexes Varane Yanga-Mbiwa - Ribery
Cabella Nasri Menez Matuidi - Benzema

Germany (Binder Dundat): Badsturber Lahm Hummels -  Kroos Holtby Reus
Neustaedter Schweinsteiger - Mueller Podolski

Italy (Joachim Parsch): Bonucci Chiellini Abate - Marchisio Pirlo
Nocerino Ambrosini - ElShaarawy Matri Quagliarella

Portugal (MH): Pepe Alves Coentrao - Nani Veloso Moutinho Custodio -
Ronaldo Danny Varela

Spain (milivella): Pique Puyol Alba - Iniesta Silva Fabregas Xavi -
Villa Pedro Torres

---

Ranking after matchday 3

15   Brazil (Jesus Petry)
14.5 Portugal (MH)
13   Germany (Binder Dundat)
10   France (The Scrutineer)
10   Spain (milivella)
 7.5 Argentina (Futbolmetrix)
 3   Italy (Joachim Parsch)
0   Belgium (ixion martin - GdBx)

- Classic F1 scoring system: 9 points to the 1st in a given matchday,
then 6, 4, 3, 2, 1. In case of a tie the points are divided (e.g. two
players in 2nd places -> they get (6+4)/2 = 5 points each). 0 goals
scored always means 0 points.

Badstuber won't play, he is injured. He wouldn't score anyway :-)
And what a difference Alaba makes as a left back compared to
Badstuber!

I suggest Hummels again.

New lineup for day 4 (and default for day 5):
Italy (Joachim Parsch): Bonucci Chiellini Abate - Marchisio Pirlo Verratti
Montolivo - ElShaarawy Balotelli Quagliarella

My task is rather simple here - it doesn't matter which Italian
attacker I choose, they don't score anyway.

Let's hope that Benfica gets some goals at home, and that Messi finally
gets unstuck. Tough, tough choice between the strikers...

New lineup:

Otamendi Garay Pareja - Pastore DiMaria Gaitan L. Gonzalez - Messi
Higuain Salvio

I was going with the theory Bayern will score more this week at home
then Dortmund in Madrid.  Last week I did not pick Schmelzer and it
cost me second place, so maybe Boateng?  I will think about it on the
drive home?  Maybe Per will score in gelsinkierchen?

Yeah but I think I should bench him for missing a penalty!

Boateng hasn't scored in the last 2485 matches he played and he
is unlikely to score on Wednesday...

Defenders who take penalties should be regular starters in
this game. But I agree that Dortmund away against Real isn't
the best bet. So Mertesacker may be a good choice after all.

Tentative (i.e. please make this my team unless I change it, and also my
default team for the future.):

Pepe, Alves, Cadu, - Nani, Veloso, Moutinho, Eliseu - Eder, Varela, Ronaldo

I'm too busy to post a line-up, so if I'll lose it will be because of
this. Also, the referees.

...Nah, here's my very temporary line-up:

Spain (milivella): Alba Ramos Ruiz - Fabregas Viera Nolito Guardado -
Soldado Villa Rodrigo

Just to be clear, until you'll write about your default line-up again:
- If you'll change your line-up, the new one will be used for MD 4,
but the one above will be used for MD 5.
- For MD 6, the latest default-with-no-match-day-specification-
attached line-up will be used, i.e.:
Italy (Joachim Parsch): Bonucci Chiellini Abate - Marchisio Pirlo
Nocerino Ambrosini - ElShaarawy Matri Quagliarella
