Is WORLD SOCCER or SHOOT! (British soccer magazine) attainable here in
 the US. How? Information appreciated.
I think the SOCCER DIGEST is not impressive enough. Does anyone know
any really good soccer magazines worth subscribing.
thanks,

Yes to both.  Be forewarned that World Soccer comes about 3-4 weeks after
it is released in Britain, and Shoot is a lot more unpredictable since it's
a weekly magazine.

You should be able to get it at Barnes and Noble or any good bookstore with
an extensive foreign magazine selection.

Soccer Digest is horrible - I gave up on that a long time ago.  Soccer
America is a decent American soccer publication FWIW, but it's not even
close to the quality of World Soccer.  Maybe with MLS starting up the
coverage will get better.

Shishu-
I don't know where in the US you are located but you should be able
to find Shoot! in any Borders or Brentanos book stores and World Soccer in
Borders, Brentanos or Barnes and Noble stores.  Shoot! is a bit of a kidde
magazine focusing only on the English Football League with a good deal of
space going to Pin-up pictures.  If you are interested in the English
league Four Four Two is a fantastic magazine (available only by
subscription from England) with in depth articles on World players, owners
and officials along with great insight into the happenings within the
English game, reviews of videos, books and fanzines, and lots of other
good stuff.  If your interested I could provide you with the address.

I've found WORLD SOCCER at several bookstores/magazine stands, including
Barnes & Noble here in Atlanta. Shouldn't be that hard to find elsewhere
in US.

WS should be attainable there in the US. Try getting hold of 4-4-2,
It is a good mag. The best however is the GUERIN SPORTIVO. Best photos,
commentaries, the best all-round.

World Soccer is by far the best soccer magazine in the world, do make
every effort to find it!  It covers every continent in full detail,
including all goalscorers for every prominent league.  I certainly
couldn't live without it!  Also, if you like the British game, try "90
minutes", its a weekly which isn't as serious as World Soccer, but its
very comprehensive and somewhat humorous as well.

Here in Southern California, any newstand claiming to have a "wide
selection" has it.  World Book & News on Hollywood Blvd. & Cahuenga has
it.  But the best solution is get a subscription.  Newstands jack up the
price beyond it's printed US newstand price & it's late.  Delivery is
reliable, & they take checks drawn on US banks!
Good luck

No, no no. The best footy mags are GUERIN SPORTIVO (Italian) and for the
English league 4-4-2 is best IMO. The pics in the Guerin Sportivo are second
to none, the analysis is more indepth. I hate WS b/c of the detail it
gives to every continet and all ends of the globe, still this contributes to
its popularity I guess. I'd love to see a mag that has everything on
the Top 3 or 4 leagues in the world. I am sure that would be popular.
