PREMIER LEAGUE RESULTS   Tuesday 5th October

ABERDEEN 0-0 HEARTS

A less than brilliant game with Aberdeen recording their second 0-0 draw in a
row and Hearts now having failed to score a goal in 3 games now. Aberdeen had
far more possession than Hearts, but Hearts had the better chances. Leitch and
Fashanu played well for Hearts. Aberdeen looked a bit dodgy without Jess

DUNDEE 2-2 PARTICK THISTLE
dodds 41   shaw 4
pittman 72 taylor 76

The two sides produced a good match at Dens with a draw about a fair result.
George Shaw scored early on, knocking home a cross from 4 yards out. Dundee got
back in the game and Ristic Dragutin hit the post with a brilliant 25 yard free
kick, the ball rebounding towards Nelson who somehow kept it out. Dundee
eventually levelled before half time when Billy Dodds outjumped the thistle
defence to knock home his second of the season. Dundee took the lead in 72
minutes with a deflected free kick from Stevie Pittman. 4 mins later Partick's
2 subs combined with Taylor scoring the equaliser.

HIBERNIAN 3-2 RAITH ROVERS

Sorry, no goal times available, but apparently it was a great game, with Hibs
going ahead through Darren  Jackson's 4th of the season. Raith then scored
through Jason Dair and Darren Rowbotham, then Mike O'Neill scored for Hibs and
Kevin McAllister scored a brilliant individual goal to win Hibs the points and
send them to the top of the table. Raith apparently played good, open attacking
football, and it's good to see a promoted team doing this.

KILMARNOCK 1-1 DUNDEE UTD
roberts 60?    McKinlay 65?

As i predicted yesterday this match finished in a draw, but surpringly United
actually scored an away goal, courtesy of Billy McKinlay's 30 yarder soon after
Mark Roberts had given Killie the lead. United were awarded a dodgy pen in the
first half for a trip which appeared to take place outside the box. Scott
Crabbe, was so overawed by this chance to score away from home that he hit the
kick straight at Geddes. Killie also are playing good football.

Ayr 3-1 East Fife

Stenhousemuir 0-5 Clydebank

OTHER NEWS:

Craig Brown thinks Billy McKinlay is the new Graeme Souness. Does he fit the
bill?

- He cheats
- He moans
- He hacks
- He has a bad haircut

Yes, he is clearly the ideal replacement.
Dundee have signed yet another foreign player, his name is Danny Mobillio or
something and he plays for Canada's national side. George Shaw looks set to
leave Partick Thistle soon, he's been on a month-to-month contract, after
refusing a new contract which he says offered him only a year on the same wages
he was getting two seasons ago in Division one. He will leave as soon as he
finds another club.

The End.

Seems fair to me only giving him the money he was paid in the first division
after all he still plays as badly so why increase his wages.
