1 - 2 54'

Everton just scored their second goal, after an Everton player clatters
Kelly to win a ball, leaving Kelly on the ground. Liverpool should have
led by 3 by the halftime, but only managed one by Meireles.

An open game, but switching Kyrgiakos in for Agger has rattled the
Liverpool defense a lot. Hopefully the team can gather themselves for
the second half and get King Kenny his opening victory at home.

: Everton just scored their second goal, after an Everton player clatters
: Kelly to win a ball, leaving Kelly on the ground.

That's a not-quite-accurate portrayal of what happened.

Two guys went up for a high ball.  One, wearing red, was beaten to the ball and
went up rather clumsily and came down in the same fashion, landing awkwardly.

Liverpool's goalkeeper, Reina, was booked for expressing his outrage that
Everton didn't halt their attack within 12 yards of his goal while one of his
teammates was on the ground.

Aggers hurt? Damnit.

He makes a world of difference when he's own.

We're the slowest team in the league aren't we?

Fernando Torres needs to dye his hair blond.

Was he really injured? FSC didn't so much as show a replay so I don't
know what happened there.

I think Kelly was up once Reina was booked for his berating.

Indeed (on the open bit). Two decent shots on goal for Pool in the
last ten. Mereiles from the left and then Maxi's header.

Although, having seen a replay now - it looks like the corner
itself should have been a goal kick. Poor luck, either way.

It'll be funny if this game is 4-4.  Ironic, not funny.

It looked bad, but Kelly finished the game.  I still feel the Everton
player fouled, but there was surely some comedy defending there as well.

2 - 2 FT

Liverpool lost the second half posession 62-38. What the hell happened,
surely just switching Agger for Soto is not enough to make this much
damage?

Liverpool should have won by three or so, the first half was a show. And
still, the firs half alone was the best bit of football from the team in
the whole season, getting rid of Roy was worth it.

I missed most of the first half - was lazy waking up. The second
half definitely didn't feel like a 62-38 possession. Watching the
game, I'd have said closer to 50-50 with Everton perhaps holding a
slight edge - except the opening 10 where they started really strong.
