From Bloomberg Sports:

Leading officials in EPRUC's neogitating team have played down
the latest flare-up in their prolonged negotiations with the RFU.

EPRUC chief exec. Kim Deshayes called Twickenham's demands for
the guaranteed release of England players ahead of the 5 Naitons
Championship and a deadline to sign the agreement an
"unacceptable ultimatum."

Leicester chief exec. Wheeler, the former England captain, said,
"I am confident that the crisis can be resolved following
informal talks with the rugby union.  I can't believe that
anything would jeopardize what we have worked towards in the
profesional era.  We are looking forward to working together once
the bits an dpieces have been resolved."

Elsewhere, England rising star Phil Greening is staying with
Gloucester.  The clubs'd irectors have turned down a big money
offer, believed to be from Wasps, for the burly 21 year old
***.  Greening himself has made it clear that he does not wish
to leave Kingsholm.

Saracens will introduce their latest signing, Western Samoa prop
Brendan Reedy, in Wednesday's Anglo-Welsh Cup match against
Newport.  Reedy has won 3 caps for Western Samoa, and previously
played New Zealand provincial rugby for Wellington.
