Mae hen wlad fy nhadau, yn anwyl i mi
(I am from England and don't like the Welsh)
Gwlad beirdd a chantorion, enwogion o fri;
(When eating your food it makes me want to belch),
Ei gwrol rhyfelwyr, gwlad garwyr tra mad,
(When I cross o-ver the severn, and I see that horrid land)
Dros ryddid collasant eu gwaed
(I anticipate the kicking I'm going to get) <-- This bit is difficult
to translate in meter
Gwlad. Gwlad, pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad,
(Help, Help, they're going to beat us again)
Tra mor yn fur
(When Gibbsy crossed the line)
I'r bur hoff bau
(That try, I wish was mine)
O bydded i'r heniath barhau
(Oh sod it, Wales, you are the best).
Oh, alright, its not the real translation... that is something like:
The land of my fathers is dear to me,
Land of poets, singers and famous men.
Her brave warriors and blessed patriots,
For freedom, gave their ***.
Wales, Wales, I am dedicated to homeland.
So long as the sea is a wall to this beautiful land,
O may the ancient language live on.

The old land of my fathers is dear to me,
Land of bards and singers and famous people of note,
Her manly warriors - patriots to the end,
Over freedom they lost their ***.
Country, Country faithful I am to my country,
While the sea is a wall to the most pure of lands,
O let the old language continue.
or something like that. There is a less literal translation that can be sung
in English which is why it is translated as 'Land of my Fathers' and not
'Old Land of my Fathers' because the latter doesn't work with the tune.
