From the Press Association & Bloomberg Sports:

David Pears set his sights on his return to the England side next season
after he received the clear to continue playing.  The 'Quins fly half's
future had been indoubt after he badly dmaged his ankle for the second time
in a month last November.  A specialist told Pears that he can resume
training in June.

A International Simon Shaw will play his first competitive game in five
months for Bristol United againt Orrell's second team at the Memorial
Ground on Saturday.

The 'Quins have completed the signing of Welsh international Gareth
Llewellyn despite a threat of legal action by the Welsh Rugby Union over
his 250,000 pound move from Neath.  (Evening Standard)

Richmond have been in talks with Mike Catt and Ben Clarke with a view to
signing the English duo.  The club, which has already signed Welshmen
Adrian Davies and Andy Moore and is backed by millionaire Ashley Levett,
plans to unveil at least two new players on May 7.
