New record in the "Get your excuses in early" Derby.

And please, can the Poms in here give it a rest about Walsh? We all know he's a knob, but you lost because Wales were better. Really, it's getting pathetic and you're giving Ref whinging a bad name...

Have any Poms here suggested we lost because of Walsh ?

I certainly don't think that and have just watched the game again in its
entirety while I was putting it on DVD for a mate - Welsh unfortunately
:) Wales were better individually and as a team on the day.

Even knowing the result it was still a wonderful atmosphere and a
fantastic game to watch and not as one-sided as you'd think from the
score. There was a great spell from us for the last 15 minutes of the
1H, and occasional attacking spells even in the 2H.

IMO the key point was not the breakdown where the 1st tray was scored
but the scrum at around 45 minutes just before Marler went off, when it
looked to me like it was Adam Jones who was at fault, and then in the
next scrum we had that nonsense with Youngs "moving" before the engage.

And I thought Hibberd popped up first when we were penalised for doing
that. All arguable, and reasonable for Wig to question afterwards, but
it should have been done privately and there were other occasions when
the decisions went our way. Also, as Moore said in commentary, the Welsh
were moving almost every time before the put in which is illegal, but as
he said, it was up to our pack to deal with it - they couldn't.

I don't think the breakdown was a problem - the 1 before the try was
marginal but so were several others. Difference was that when it popped
out it went to a winger with gas.

We had several promising opportunities but never looked like scoring
from them. Manu butchered two, back 3 had several runs but had no
penetration and 10-12 never looked like breaking the gainline either
until Flood came on. Great defence from both sides and the right team
won on the day and topped off with an absolutely beautiful 2nd try.

The scrum apart Walsh refereed quite decently, hence my incredulity at
him being dropped and Joubert who was wholly inconsistent and could not
handle the scot wal game gets the nod.

Its a farce.

No, in fact the disclaimers we have to put in to make it clear we're not
blaming Walsh for losing, are longer than the actual posts that follow.

You are the worst offender. Constant mowwissey-like ref-whinging. Adding disclaimers does nothing to mitigate it. What else have you offered?

I start topics, I ask questions about rugby in general and try to join in
the threads that I understand. How about you? What do you offer?

Your killfile settings appear to be even harder for you to find than your
"start new topic" button. Still, as long as you can light the way to the
m***high ground by jumping into threads with constantly irrelevant ***
about "Mowwithey", "arses" and "extension chords [sic]" then I'll at least
have some kind of example to aspire to.

Oh dear. I meant, of course, what else have you offered about the England Wales game other than ref whinging. I should have looked at your posting name and known better.

I'm sorry you wasted your time hunting down my posting history, hopefully you got a bit of a laugh....

Honestly, I have no problem with Barnes, he's competent enough. I'd rather have him than Walsh, that's for sure.
