Are any South African Rugby fans likely to catch any of the South
African Rhinos RL team in the Millenium RLWC, if the games are on TV? The
squad is likely to include a few Union players who have had a little League
experience, such as the ferocious captain Jamie Bloem, winger Mark Johnson,
former dual international captain Tiann Strauss, former Springbok forward
Ruben Kruger, Bristol Ru's fullback Michael Horak, Springbok centre Pieter
Muller, Kevin Schraader, Northern Bull Hannes Venter & perhaps Newport's
Andy Marinos & Current Springbok forward Warren Brosnihan.

The Rhinos are also playing the Welsh team in a historic test match
at Loftus Versfield Stadium, Pretoria on October 19, 2000. They are then
involved in Pool D, the French pool, along with France, PNG & Tonga. This
pool is a complete wildcard, because the PNG & Tonga teams are pretty damn
good at full strength, & France have improved.

SARL last results were in the 1997 SL World Nines, where they play
powerfully against test hardened opposition. The SA Under 18's & Under 16's
national teams recently toured GB, & played a provincial team, a junior
Super League team, & a junior amateur British national team.

UNDER 18s P 3 W 3 L 0
UNDER 16s P 3 W 2 L 1

So you guys might be interested in watching another SA national team,
while commiserating the downturn in fortunes of the Boks.
