You beat me to it... I was going to make a similar point. Another thing
worth considering is that Northern Division (touring Italy) alternated Liley
and Ryan at fly-half until Neil Ryan came down with a knee infection (??).
There has been much speculation at Sale about which of these two would be
first choice. I think Liley will be first choice at least until Ryan has more
Division One experience -- he has only appeared as a replacement so far.

Back on the Paul Turner thread, as I heard it PT wanted to be payed the same
as Rob Andrew (!) and that the negociations weren't exactly well handled by
the Sale management. It's a real shame and Paul has been so influential at
Sale that I suspect they may go down as a result of this.

I noticed in today's press there is a big fight expected at the Sale
AGM on Wednesday week regarding PT.

Turner's contract runs till the end of next season, and Sale have
promised to honour it. Whether Turner will want to stay is another
matter.
