IRB Petition: Remove Ed Morrison from international panel

Post by simon123452.. » Mon, 09 Aug 1999 04:00:00

Mail the IRB with something like this;

Sir,

I wish to state my objection to the inclusion of Ed Morrison (England)
on the refereeing panel for this year's World Cup.

I believe that Mr Morrison is incompetent and that he ruins the game as
a spectacle. I don't enjoy watching matches that he controls.

Regards,
<xxxxx>

Mr Ed won't be sacked.  His style of refereeing
guarantees enough stoppage time to ensure that
no commercial telecaster will ever be tempted to
throw to an ad while play is in progress.  Why
else do you think Mr Pugh was enforcing
pedantry as a prime criterion for selection as a
world cup referee?

The game was not a good spectacle and Morrison didn't help
with his whistle blowing but he was not responsible for the repeated
knockons etc or the aerial ping pong from Mertens.

At the moment I believe that NH Rugby is better to watch..........

Yep......its only my opinion but the Tri Nations this year
has been nearly as boring as that Grid Iron match
played in Sydney last Sunday.

And btw......."yawn" is the correct word when you talk
about the Rugby this year

I think he's really good and should be reffing the final if RWC with
Jim Fleming and Erikson running touch.

I think a Kiwi ref with Aussie and SA TJ's are more likely though

John, why do I get the feeling that you've decided to disagree with
every post you can find, just for the sheer hell of it? :-)
